Anne Hathaway is an actress, singer, producer, and humanitarian. She has been nominated for and/or won multiple awards. She began her professional career in 1999 in the television series Get Real. Her work as a children’s role model began with The Princess Diaries in 2001. More roles led to a transition to more adult roles in 2005.
Anne Jacqueline Hathaway was born in 1982 in Brooklyn, New York. She has two brothers and they moved to Millburn, New Jersey when she was six years old. In high school, she won a Paper Mills Playhouse Rising Star Award nomination for Best Performance by a High School Actress. She continued to act and sang with All-Eastern U.S. High School Honors Chorus. She later graduated from Millburn High School. She studied at Vassar College before attending New York University for a time.
Anne Hathaway has appeared in well over two dozen films. She has appeared in over a half of a dozen television programs and on stage. She has sung on film, has charted songs, and made guest appearances on songs. She has been involved in the production of work. Honors and awards have continued for her as well.
Anne married Adam Shulman in 2012. They had a son in 2016. Anne, also, stays busy with charity work. She is a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. She supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Creative Coalition, and The Human Rights Campaign among other charities and organizations. She advocates for LGBT rights, parental leave, and marriage equality as well.
