Adrian Grenier is an actor, producer, director, musician, writer, philanthropist, and environmentalist. His writing and much of his work have served to educate people on multiple issues. As an actor, he became well-known for his role on the television series Entourage.
Adrian Grenier was born in 1976 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His parents did not marry and he was raised by his mother in New York, New York. He graduated high school from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. He then attended Bard College, however left to become a professional actor.
Adrian has acted in over two dozen films since his debut in 1997. He later appeared in a short television film followed by Entourage and other television series as well. He has been the producer of approximately a dozen projects, written and/or directed a few projects, and been part of a music video.
Adrian has supported Little Kids Rock to foster music education in disadvantaged public schools. He is a Board Member of React to Film to promote documentary filmmaking for social responsibility and civic engagement. He supports Charity Water and in 2009 launched Ecohero, an eco-themed app. He is involved with other technology related ventures as well.
In 2014, Adrian became a partner with Stone Barns for Food and Agriculture. They created SHFT Mobile Kitchen Classroom to inspire students to care about issues environmentally related to food. In 2015, Adrian became Dell’s Social Good Advocate to champion healthy, sustainable choices. They have created a safe, technology recycling program and in 2016 launched a Legacy of Good Short Documentary Film Contest. This came after Adrian’s Lonely Whale expedition. He created the Lonely Whale Foundation to inspire people to care for and protect oceans and marine life.
