Tim Ferriss is an author, television/media personality, entrepreneur, and public speaker. He has written numerous self-help books and is an advisor to multiple companies. He has appeared on television and is on podcasts.
Timothy Ferriss was born in 1977 in East Hampton, New York. He graduated from St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire. He then attended Princeton University. He received a degree in East Asain Studies. He began working at a data storage company before starting his own company. Tim founded BrainQUICKEN in 2001. In 2007, his first book, 4-Hour Workweek, was published. In 2008, he appeared on Trial by Fire on the History Channel. More books, audiobooks, and work as an angel investor have followed.
The Tim Ferriss Show is his podcast covering a wide variety of topics. His podcast reaches over 80 million people and has won awards. Due to his work writing, with companies, and on his podcast, The New Yorker has labeled him this generation’s self-help guru. After 2012, “The Tim Ferriss Effect” became a popular catchphrase.
Philanthropy is, also, a major part of Tim Ferriss’ life. He advocates for the public school nonprofit Donors Choose. He has been awarded for his work. He is on the advisory board for the nonprofit QuestBridge as well.
