Peter Diamandis is an engineer, physician, author, and entrepreneur.  He is known for the personal spaceflight industry and has co-founded or worked with multiple corporations and organizations.  Currently, he is the chairman of X Prize Foundation and Singularity University.  He has co-authored Abundance: The Future is Bigger Than You Think and BOLD: How to Go Big, Create Wealth, and Impact the World.

 

Peter H. Diamandis was born in 1961 in The Bronx, New York, New York.  He was interested in space from an early age and won Estes Rocket Design Competition when he was 12 years old.  In 1979, he graduated from Great Neck North High School.  He went to Hamilton College before transferring to MIT.  In 1983, he graduated with a B.S. in molecular biology. He then went to Harvard University for a medical degree, but returned to MIT for an M.S. in aeronautics and astronautics.  He then returned to Havard and earned his M.D.

 

While still in school, his career really began.  In 1987, he co-founded International Space University.  He has since been involved with International MicroSpace, Inc., Constellations Communications, X PRIZE Foundation, Zero Gravity Corporation, Angel Technologies Corporation, Space Adventures, Ltd., BlastOff! Corporation, Rocket Racing League, Singularity University, Planetary Resources Inc., and Human Longevity Inc.  He is, also, on the board of Intelius, Cogswell Polytechnical College, and Hyperloop Technologies.

 

Peter Diamandis has made many notable achievements and earned multiple awards and recognition.  Stephen Hawking is among the numerous people that have thus far been to space thanks in part to Peter Diamandis’ work.  Be inspired!  Have a bright day!
