Heidi Klum is a model, fashion designer, actress, television personality and producer, businesswoman, author, and humanitarian. She has retired from modeling, however maintains a busy career. Her career began in 1992, however the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and becoming the first German-born Victoria’s Secret Angel in 1999 catapulted her fame and earnings.
Heidi Klum was born in 1973 in Bergisch, Gladbach, Germany. After winning a modeling contest and then graduating from school, she accepted her first modeling contract. She has been featured on the covers of numerous magazines around the world. In addition to working with photographers, she appeared in her first husband’s book Body Painting, Masterpieces. She has, also, worked as a spokesperson for multiple corporations. She has appeared in dozens of movies and television programs as well. In addition to modeling based reality television shows, she has been a judge on America’s Got Talent.
Heidi is an artist known for her paintings among other things. In 2002, she dedicated a painted sculpture to the rescue dogs that served after the September 11th terrorist attacks. In 2004, she co-authored a biography. She, also, released a single that she wrote and gave the proceeds to a children’s childhood charity from her hometown.
Heidi has had several significant relationships. She was married to stylist Ric Pipino from 1997 until 2002. She then had a relationship with Flavio Briatore and she became pregnant. Before having her daughter, she began dating the musician Seal, who she later married in 2005 and Seal adopted her daughter. They went on to have three more children together. While she did take his last name during their marriage, the two divorced in 2015.
Other philanthropic endeavors have been a 2011 5k Walk for Kids she led and her being honored by the American Red Cross. In 2014, she received their Crystal Cross Award for her charity work, most notably for her contributions after Hurricane Sandy.
