I took the approximately month and a half needed to review the United States past Presidents. All adult citizens can vote for the next President of the United States of America. Looking back, may have helped each to us to be ready to move forward. We can be inspired by the Presidents of the United States of America.
Election Day is the Tuesday following the first Monday in November. This date was chosen due to our past agrarian lifestyle. This allowed for the harvest to be completed and for people to travel to their polling locations during a time of year with less weather concerns. A Tuesday made the trip between religious services on Sunday and Market Day, which was Wednesday. Early November kept weather concerns at bay.
Today, it is a work holiday in some states, however all employers are mandated or encouraged, depending on the state, to give workers time off to vote. Presidents are voted for every four years. There are local, state, and federal offices to vote for depending on which year it is in their cycles. There are proposals to vote for or against as well. Election Day is a day all adult citizens can exercise their civic duty.
Perhaps reviewing our past Presidents of the United States has inspired you to be part of this process. Exercise your civic duty. Every vote does count! Be inspired! Have a bright day!
