Sir Mick Jagger is a singer, songwriter, actor, and film producer.  He is known as the frontman and singer of the rock band the Rolling Stones.  He is a co-founder of the Rolling Stones.  Mick has been active since 1960 and has released solo music as well.


Michael Philip Jagger was born in Dartford, Kent, United Kingdom.  His younger brother also became a musician.  Mick began singing as a child and sang in a church choir.  Mick and Keith Richards met in 1950 in school, but then went on to different schools.  They met again in 1960, and after school, they moved into a flat with a guitarist in 1961.  Band members and managers have changed over the years, however Mick Jagger and Keith Richards have been consistent members of the Rolling Stones.  By 1964, the Rolling Stones became so popular they even ranked more popular than the Beatles by many.


Concert tours and albums have been numerous.  Mick Jagger has, also, released solo albums, a compilation album, and a few collaborative albums.  Mick Jagger is a big supporter of music in the schools.  He was given a knighthood for services to popular music in the early 2000s.  He has been a dominant cultural figure.  Other musicians have used his impact on culture in their own music.  His stage antics and style have inspired many.


Mick Jagger has appeared in about two dozen films, has produced a few films with his production company, and written a film.  In 1995, Jagged Films was founded.  The Rolling Stones has been a subject of documentaries as well.  He has appeared on television too.


Mick Jagger has been married, but has had other significant relationships as well.  He has seven children and has another on the was as of today’s date.  Both he and Keith Richards have been quoted about having no plans to retire.  Be inspired!  Have a bright day!
