There are people that are inspirational for multiple reasons. Kristin Chenoweth is one of these people. Kristin Chenoweth is an actress, singer, author, and philanthropist. She has been nominated for awards and won awards for her work. Kristin Chenoweth is inspirational.
Kristin Chenoweth was born on July 24, 1968 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was adopted when she was five days old and was named Kristi Dawn Chenoweth. She started singing when she was very young. She sang for area churches. When she was twelve she sang at the Southern Baptist Convention. She appeared in school plays. She graduated from Broken Arrow Senior High School and then attended Oklahoma City University. In 1990, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in musical theater. In 1992, she earned her Master’s degree in opera performance. During this time she had also participated in musicals, beauty pageants, and vocal competitions.
Kristin had a scholarship to attend Philadelphia’s Academy of Vocal Arts, but went to New York City to help a friend and ended up auditioning for a musical. She decided to move to New York instead of following up with her scholarship. She continued to appear in regional theater productions. This led to more work and awards and/or accolades in theater, television, and films.
She has recorded music and performed concerts. She wrote a memoir in 2009. Another inspiring thing about her is that she has accomplished and performed in so many ways with an inner-ear disorder named Meniere’s disease.
The Kristin Chenoweth Arts & Education Fund is committed to enriching and cultivating children’s lives through education, experience, and entertainment. She supports numerous charities and foundations, including Alzheimer’s Association, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, GLAAD, and Kindred Foundation for Adoption. She considers herself a “liberal Christian” and supports people in a variety of situations.
