Inventors are inspirational. Lori Greiner is an inventor, entrepreneur, author, and television personality. She is known as the “Queen of QVC” and holds 120 U.S. and international patents. She has supported and promoted other inventors and products. Over 400 products have received her help. Using her problem solving approach she has invented items ranging from kitchen tools to travel bags to accessories to home organizers.
Lori was born on December 9, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up on the Near North Side, Chicago. After high school, she attended Loyola University Chicago and majored in Communications. While there, she worked for the Chicago Tribune. She was part of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, Gamma lota Chapter. She, also, worked as a playwright and sold her own line of jewelry for awhile. This led to her inventing and patenting a box to organize earrings. This was successfully sold at J.C. Penny.
In 1996, Lori founded the product development and marketing company For Your Ease Only, Inc. In 1998, she became the cable television host of Clever & Unique Creations by Lori Greiner. In 2011, she spoke at the United States Patent and Trademark Office Women’s Entrepreneurship Symposium. In 2012, she began working on Shark Tank. In 2014, she invested in Scrub Daddy, producing sponges, and sold them on QVC. Also in 2014, she published Invent it, Sell it, Bank it! – Make Your Million Dollar Idea into a Reality. She has also appeared on the television spin-off Beyond the Tank.
Lori married Daniel Greiner before achieving much of her success. He became the financial manager of her company, For Your Ease Only, Inc. They live in Chicago, Illinois and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They annually donate a substantial amount of their profits to charity. When Lori gives speeches, she hopes to inspire and help others.
