I have always enjoyed the television sitcom Friends. It ran from 1994 to 2004 and I suppose those years also allowed me to connect with the show in a way that made the show more than just a comedic break. I graduated Michigan State University in 1995 and began my teaching career shortly thereafter. I was married and had my first child during the series’ run. I still enjoy the program’s reruns.
Jennifer Anniston played Rachel Green on the show, however things that she has done in her life beyond the show make her inspirational. She was born in Los Angeles, California and both of her parents were actors. When she was young she lived in Greece for a year before moving to Pennsylvania and then to New York. She began acting at age eleven, was in her school’s drama society, and went to a high school that focused on the performing arts. She held other jobs while trying to make her way as an actress. Moving back to Los Angeles led to work on a few failed television programs, guest roles, and a film before her role on Friends.
Jennifer Anniston has earned many award nominations, an Emmy, and a Guinness World Book of Records entry for her paycheck (with her female co-stars) for her tenth season of Friends. Her work as an actress has continued with movies and she is also known as a director, producer, and businesswoman.
From Friends to movie roles and other places life has taken her, Jennifer Anniston in an inspiration. Work for what you want and support things you care about. Have a bright day!
