A daily dose of Inspiration for you!

Poker Face.  Monster.  Born This Way.  Of course all of these refer to Lady Gaga.  She is an artist and performer.  She is known as a singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, and philanthropist.  She claims inspiration and or influence by Queen, Madonna, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Whitney Houston, The Grateful Dead, Elton John, Blondie, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath among others.  Her musical genre is characterized as pop, dance-pop, or electropop.  However, she is known for exploring other musical genres as well.

She was born in Manhattan, New York.  She was raised in the upper-class Upper West Side.  However, her parents were born in lower-class areas and worked twelve hour days.  She grew up believing in hard work.  She went to an all-girl Roman Catholic school before attending New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.  She left school to pursue a career in music.

She had experiences that could be seen as steps to her success.  She is now regarded as one of the best-selling musicians of all time.  She has over a dozen Guinness Book of World Records, in addition to, Grammy Awards and a Songwriter’s Hall of Fame Contemporary Icon Award.

Her work in music has made her a top-earning and influential artist.  Her philanthropic work is another arena were she has made her mark.  She has worked for youth empowerment, LGBT rights, and HIV/AIDS prevention.  Her foundation the Born This Way Foundation focuses on youth empowerment.

Her work has led her to putting products on the market as well.  Hard work is inspirational.  Doing things for others is inspirational.  Music is inspirational.  Controversy or no, Lady Gaga has inspired many people just as she has been inspired by many others.  Feeling inspiration can led to many good things!  Have a bright day!
