A daily dose of Inspiration for you!

The Manning Bowl.  It is hard to think about one NFL quarterback and son of Archie Manning without thinking about the other son and NFL quarterback.  I wrote about Peyton Manning and what makes him inspirational yesterday.  Today, I hope that you feel inspiration by reading about Eli Manning.

Eli Manning played in high school and played successfully at Mississippi before graduating with a degree in marketing.  He was the first pick in the first round of the 2004 NFL draft.  A deal was in place that put him as quarterback with the New York Giants.  He went through ups and downs, however records and accolades made the ups pretty high.  He is a XLII and XLVI Super Bowl Champion and MVP.  He has played in multiple Pro Bowl games and been part of other championship games.  Other career highlights and awards have been earned by Eli.

Eli Manning married his wife Abby in 2008.  They had a daughter in 2011, 2013, and 2015.  They, along with Peyton, have volunteered and given to charity many times.  Eli and Peyton assisted in aid delivery in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.  Eli has campaigned for funds for a children’s hospital and hosted a charity golf outing for the blind and visually impaired.  He appeared in a commercial to raise awareness for an oil spill and co-authored a children’s book about growing up playing football.  He has also shown his caring as a former member of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.

Peyton is leading with The Manning Bowl wins, however each man has shown that they are a “winner”.  Their concern and effort for others prove they both are inspirational.  Enjoy family and fun today!
