Olympic Gold medals, number one rankings, Grand Slam titles, singles, doubles, and mixed doubles titles all are part of the life of a very inspirational tennis player.  This number 1 tennis player is Serena Williams.  She was born in Saginaw, Michigan and moved to Compton, California when she was young.  She was three years old when she began playing and being coached by her parents.  She, and her sisters, were homeschooled by her father.  Her parents are still involved in her coaching today.

Her skill, coaches, style, and matches on many tennis courts have led to “much success”.  The World Tennis Association (WTA) has ranked her number 1 on multiple occasions and she is regarded by many to be the greatest female tennis player of all time.  Her skill, wins, and style have garnered a lot of attention.  She has chosen clothes on and off court that reflect her personality, but also have propelled her as a star.  Her wins, equipment, and clothing choices have led to endorsement deals.

Serena Williams has started her own handbag, jewelry, and accessory collections.  She has appeared on television programs, on the big screen, and did voice work for animated shows.  She has appeared in magazines and even been in a rap music video.  She has written books both with and without her sister Venus and others.  Serena Williams has been busy with charity work as well.  She has responded to natural disasters, worked with and for at-risk individuals, promoted/funded education and health initiatives, and been named an UNICEF International Goodwill Ambassador.

Serena Williams is an inspiration!  Many stories can be enjoyed due to her efforts on and off the court.  The work she has done and been a part of have made an impact on many individuals.  Remember, you only live once, but you get to serve twice!
