A daily dose of Inspiration for you!

May the Force be with you!  Yes, George Lucas has both felt the force and spread the force to others.  He is known as a director, screenwriter, producer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.  He has created two very successful franchises and received many awards.  Both the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises have entertained multiple generations of people.

George Lucas had a passion for racing cars.  He, unfortunately, suffered a horrible accident that almost killed him as a young man.  However, this led him to making films.  He went on to college and studied multiple things and kept making films.  He transferred to a university and met other filmmakers.  He, also, became good friends with Steven Spielberg.  He graduated with a bachelor of fine arts in film.  He re-enrolled in USC in a graduate program.  He worked in and instructed others in film production.  He entered a contest and won a prize that led to him getting to work on a Francis Ford Coppola film.

George Lucas went on to be a successful filmmaker who focused on writing and producing many films.  He has made a fortune.  However, he has pledged to give half of his fortune away to charity.  This has made him part of The Giving Pledge.  Bill Gates and Warren Buffett started this pledge to inspire to richest individuals to donate their wealth.  Many groups and individuals will be helped.  Enough words cannot be said about this pledge.  George Lucas doing what he can to help others is inspirational.

George Lucas has supported young filmmakers among many others.  Hours of cinema and enjoyment or entertainment can benefit many people.  Once again, may the Force be with you!
